2000: BC - Wed-Thu, 10/18-19/00

That's a nice banana Leo has in his hand! That yellow fruit thingy looks pretty good, too ;-)

Opal to Erica: "Part of being is a parent is knowing when to leave well enough alone." BWAHAHAHAA!! This from the woman who forced her teenaged daughter (Jenny) to work at a sleazy bar (Foxy's) in Center City. This from the mother who told her daughter to bend over for every man they encountered so that she could look like "little Brookie Shields". This from the mother who slapped her daughter for daring to balk at putting on a skimpy little Playboy Bunny-like outfit to work at Foxy's. Opal may have been redeemed now, but she's hardly the model mother!

Oh great -- now Ryan has "Billy Girls" (an Ally McBeal reference). Is Incredible Dreams going to open a phone-sex line now? Hey Ryan, you're ON-LINE now -- you can hire pug-ugly people to chat on-line!

Bianca's guidance counselor: "Bianca, anything you say to me would be kept in STRICTEST confidence!" I guess that's why she talks about Bianca's personal stuff with both Bianca AND Erica while strolling through the PV High hallways.

That pales in comparison, of course, with the Doctors Martin discussing Jake's impotence and it's experimental treatment while sitting in the crowded sun porch. Joe notes the staggering lists of side-effects and hopes Jake isn't about to try it. Jake assures him that he "would never do anything reckless". Apparently he's already forgotten about going to Chechnya because he feelings were hurt. TAN: Between scenes there was a commercial for Claritin wherein they were forced to disclose some of the side effects such as nausea, dizziness, dry-mouth, etc. Then they tacked on "... similar to sugar pills". Since when do sugar pills give you that kind of reaction unless you are hypoglycemic?

Are we supposed to be impressed with Ryan's instant commercial? If we see THAT one running between scenes, we'll KNOW the show is doomed.
