2000: BC - Thu, 10/5/00

Isn't that the same motel room that Greenlee was in when Kenny the pool boy tried to rape her? Does Leo have a scar on his hand from that incident? LOVED Leo bending down to tie his shoe -- was that a reach-out-and-touch-someone moment or WHAT?

WOW! FANTASTIC scene with Brooke and Eliot! Julia Barr always does such a wonderful job with the Laura.1 scenes. It was like she was a different person! She can't go through these kind of emotionally draining scenes all the time, but when she does, it really points out what crappy stuff they've given her to work with all these years.

I'm really surprised they showed the photo of the girl who played Laura.1 at the time the character was killed. It was nice to see her photo, though.

While Hayley is right about her mother being unfit to raise the baby, doesn't she see the conflict of interest here? She ORDERS her mother to hand over the baby so SHE can have it! That comment about prying the baby from Arlene's cold lifeless hands was really creepy, especially with the discovery a few days ago of a 9-months pregnant woman in Ohio who was kidnapped by a neighbor. She was killed and the baby had been cut out of her (not necessarily in that order). The baby boy is fine, BTW -- the woman killed herself when the police came to arrest her. She had been faking a pregnancy for a long time, but her husband didn't know it, which is a soap opera in and of itself (and that's without even knowing that the husband had been a prison guard while the woman was doing time). He apparently saw nothing wrong with leaving for work in the morning and finding her home with the new baby in the evening.

Did anyone else want to slap Becca for her attitude with Bianca? I'm all for getting Bianca to continue with her schooling, but if I were her age and someone talked to me like that, acting humble on the face of it, but smugly superior in reality, it would probably just reinforce my decision to quit school just to piss everyone off!

The scenes with Leo and Greenlee were pretty good too. That new director seems to be making progress (I don't know if there IS a new one, but the acting on the part of MANY of the characters has been more realistically emotional lately).
